Guided Research Paper
Based on research of some of the resources in the Scarborough Library, or other sources if you wish, write a paper of 4-7 pages, typed, double-spaced, on ONE of the following:
- Define the significance of one aspect of Shepherdstown. You may consider any or all of the following questions in formulating your perspective:
- How does the appearance of Shepherdstown compare to its reality?
- Why do people consider Shepherdstown unique? Is it?
- How do residents of Shepherdstown define themselves?
- How does the history of the town impact its current identity?
- What is the relationship between the town and the university?
- Why is the Town Run a key to Shepherdstown?
- What other aspect(s) of Shepherdstown interest you?
- Research and evaluate a specific individual or event, or series of events, in Shepherdstown history. For example:
