Mental disorder
Each student will choose a mental disorder to research. Students will write an 8-10 page paper providing biological, psychological, social, and religious or spiritual issues related to the disorder. This project will be a basic literature review with students identifying and organizing information specific to their chosen disorder. The final section of the paper should be a model for treatment. Students should identify various models for treatment of their disorder documented in extant literature. Students should identify the model thought to be the most effective model of treatment and discuss how their model is consistent with Christian worldview. Students must reference a minimum of 15 sources within the paper. At least one source MUST be an autobiography written by an individual with the diagnosis being researched. (Students may reference a minimum of THREE case studies in lieu of an autobiography.) The paper must be written in APA style, Times New Roman 12 point font, double spaced, 1 inch margins. Points will be deducted for incorrect style and format.
2. The Historical Background to John
Directions
Choose just one of the two options below to complete this assignment.
Option A
Identify any historical purpose(s) behind the writing of Luke’s Gospel, Acts of the Apostles, and John’s Gospel. Include a reference to any historical factor mentioned in the recommended sources that may have triggered the writing of Luke’s Gospel, Acts of the Apostles, and John’s Gospel as well as references to statements within those three. Class lesson material can be used in addition to the recommended sources. Include at least one historical factor and at least one reference to each Gospel studied. Restrict your resources to those below as well as any information within the course modules. Be sure to distinguish between paraphrase and direct quotes. Type a 350-750 word paper using MLA formatting. Submit the completed assignment to the appropriate Assignment box by no later than Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT.
