Meaningful Use
Meaningful Use is a broad term that often is overwhelming to nurses and providers due to lack of personal knowledge. In reality, Meaningful Use simply means using an electronic health record to better patient outcomes. By empowering patients and engaging them into their care, providers and nurses can improve care while increasing transparency and efficiency. For this Real Time poster, you are to describe meaningful use. You may describe a stage of meaningful use and how to obtain meaningful use using a clinical quality measures. Likely you may only want to explain a small part of meaningful use in your poster. For example, stage 2 of meaningful use criteria involves increased requirements for e-prescribing. Your poster could be just on the aspect implementing the requirements needed to meet meaningful use for e-prescribing. Use pictures, incorporate videos.
