Use Photoshop for this assignment.
Poster size: A3 = 297mm x 420mm, resolution 300 dpi (for print).
Save your finished poster as a .tiff file (you don’t need to print the work for assessment).
Visuals
The visual style is entirely up to you. It can be abstract, photographic or a collage of mixed sources, as long as it is eye catching and appropriate for the event. All material found on the web must be referenced via IPR log (provided on Studynet)

You need to use a handwritten typography for the title of the event (Victorian Entertainments:There Will Be Fun
) and a digital type for the rest of the information.
The poster must include the British library logo (provided on Studynet).
Assessment
Assessment is based in how well you have used the software to produce effective design in type and image. How image, type and layout are used to communicate information. We will look for an understanding of information hierarchy and page layout, including alignment, careful typography and consistent use of colour. Readability and legibility are important, as are strong clear and distinct design and visual communication.
Submission Requirements:
The work has to be submitted by 10 pm on 3rd March 2017 through Studynet Assignment process for the Media Design for Event Management module.
1. Poster, submitted as a .tiff file.
2. IPR list of sources, submitted as .pdf file.
Note: You must keep the Photoshop .psd files used to create the work on personal media – memory stick, your storage on Studynet, in case it is called for or in case there are issues with your .tiff file.

Grade Descriptions
90-100% – Exceptional
All aspects of your project will be realised to a standard far beyond that usually encountered at this level. It will be truly exceptional in its vision, execution and scope and will demonstrate an astonishing level of authority, knowledge and ability in both technical and theoretical aspects. You will have exceeded all expectations.
80-89% – Outstanding
Your piece will look and feel professionally designed and will be extensive in scope and imagination. It will work flawlessly and use a range of media and interaction types in effective and highly innovative ways. There will be extensive evidence of substantial, in-depth research, planning and experimentation which will have supported and informed your creative process and will be organised and presented to a high standard. All assets and sources will be fully listed. Your wiki entries will be very substantial and flawlessly presented using well-structured arguments that critically evaluate your chosen examples with reference to theory and context. Your evaluative report will look professional and will be comprehensive, considered and insightful and will demonstrate an understanding of multimedia well beyond that expected for this level of work.
70-79% – Excellent
Your piece will have been realised to a near-professional standard and will be extensive in scope and imagination. It will work flawlessly and use a range of media and interaction types in effective and creative ways. There will be extensive evidence of substantial, in-depth research, planning and experimentation which will have supported and informed your creative process and will be organised and presented to a high standard. Your wiki entries will be substantial and well presented using well-structured arguments that critically evaluate your chosen examples and are supported by use of references. Your evaluative report will look almost professional and will be comprehensive, considered and insightful and will demonstrate an excellent understanding of multimedia and of your working processes.
60-69% – Very Good
Your piece is almost complete and satisfying, showing a clear understanding of and ability to apply tools and techniques with creativity and flair. It will be substantial and use a range of media types in imaginative and effective ways although these may not always be perfectly realised. Planning, experimentation and research will have supported your creative and development processes which are well documented. Your wiki entries will be substantial, well written and you will have discussed the examples with insight. Your evaluative report shows both a very good understanding of multimedia and a reflective and considered approach to your work.
50-59% – Good
Your piece is largely complete and substantial, responds to the brief and shows some understanding of and ability to apply methods and tools covered in class, although results may not always be convincing or of high quality. It will use a range of media types but will be conventional in nature with only limited evidence of creativity and imagination. Planning and research will be limited but will have been useful in making your creative decisions and your wiki entries will be informed, but may have some minor errors. Your report will explain your working process clearly with some insight demonstrated as well as evidence of some understanding of multimedia.
40-49% – Satisfactory
Your piece will be largely complete but insubstantial and poorly executed and will employ only a limited range of media. It will not all work and will demonstrate only a limited understanding and ability to apply methods and tools covered in class. It will be clichéd in content and concept and show little creativity. Planning and research will be only just enough and your wiki entries may be insubstantial, have some errors of language or use inappropriate registers. Your evaluative report will give only the barest outline of your working process and ability to reflect on your experience.
30-39% – Marginal Fail
The project is not finished or is insubstantial and does not show adequate understanding or ability to use the methods and tools covered in class. The material submitted is derivative and static, does not employ a range of media or interaction types and has only a slender relationship to the brief. Planning, design and research are poor quality or will be fewer than 10 pages. Your report is too short or may only be descriptive and your wiki entries are poorly written or very short. There is limited evidence of effort or creativity being put in to the assessment.
20-29% – Clear Fail
The project is very insubstantial and shows little understanding or ability to use the methods and tools covered in class at the level expected. The material submitted is derivative and static, does not employ a range of media or interaction types and has little or no relevance to the brief. Planning and research will be very limited and of poor quality. Your evaluative report is very short, of very poor quality and your wiki entries will be almost non-existent and show no evidence of evaluation or comment. There is very little evidence of effort or creativity being put in to the assessment.
0-19% Little or Nothing of Merit
Your work is almost nonexistent. You have shown no understanding of the class content at all and have provided no evidence of effort or engagement. You have not submitted one or more required parts of the assignment.
