Choose an organisation either, an advertising agency or marketing organisation, or an organisation of your choice eg. KWP Advertising or Showpony etc then develop a sustainability policy and write a report on how the policy will be communicated, implemented and reviewed, including the following:
– Communication strategy to support the policy
– Implementation of the policy in the workplace
– Review of the workplace policy
1. Explain how becoming a sustainable organisation aligns with the overall strategic plan of the organisation.
2. Start your report and outline what is sustainability, the triple bottom line and discuss the benefits of becoming sustainable for the organisation, the employees and the customer. (include definitions and Harvard referencing throughout)
3. Develop your policy
· Develop a sustainability vision and mission
· Develop a strategy for each area of the triple bottom line(People, Planet and Profit)
· Develop min of 5 goals for each strategy, using the SMART goal technique
· Include policy number:
· Footer
· Review period
· Authorisation of policy etc
4. Put the policy in your assignment as an Appendix and refer to this in your report.
5. Create an action plan for implementation, including timeframes and costs
6. Detail how you will promote your policy and expected outcomes to key stakeholders
7. Explain how the organisation will communicate the implementation outcomes, responsibilities and targets of the action plan (committee?)
8. Develop 2 procedures to support your policy using the template online
9. Outline how you will develop and communicate procedures to help implement workplace sustainability policy, strategies for continuous improvement and tracking systems that record sustainability improvements
10. Explain the range of methods that could be used to monitor and review workplace sustainability policy implementation and how this would review the success of the policy.
