Assume that you have been working in a particular community service organisation for some time. Five new staff members have recently been appointed. These are people with little or no previous experience in the community service work.
Your manager has asked you to make a presentation to the new staff members: explaining:
• the ways in which cultural diversity can impact on your work
• how cultural diversity should be valued and accommodated
• the methods that might be used to overcome or manage cultural conflicts in such a setting.
Address these issues from point of client / care relationships and of relationships between co-workers and colleagues.
