Paper details:
A research project which asks and answers a research question relevant to the chosen field (major) with a 4000 word Essay.
The primary research question is:
Did access to social media help to save or improve the lives of Syrian civilians and how was this accomplished?
Your papers (research or exegesis) must have-
An introduction (usually around 10% of the total but possibly less- One par only)-
Body paragraphs (not too long and not too short!)
These body paragraphs will include:-
A literature review (about 20-25%)
A discussion of your research design- Even an exegesis should explain how you went about analysing your work- For a research paper, you need to be very
specific about what you did- (a paragraph or two)
A findings section- Tell us what you found out- Not what those findings mean but what you discovered- In your exegesis, your framework may vary depending
on how you decide to frame your discussion- You should still explain what you discovered about your own work though- (about 20%)
A discussion section- Tell us what your research means- This is where you connect your findings back to the theory. Connect what we already know and the
gap you identified to what you’ve discovered- (about 20-30%)
A conclusion (one par. No new information- About 10%)-
For exegesis writers, your structure may be more fluid than this- You will need to write an essay, and you should cover these elements but they may be
