Annual performance reviews have been criticised as being ineffective in managing staff performance (Pontefract 2015; Buckingham & Goodall 2015; Budworth, Latham & Manroop 2015; Pulakos, Hanson, Arad & Moye 2015; De Waal & Kourtit 2013). Using at least 3 of these 5 references, explain the authors’ criticisms of annual performance reviews.
