mGastritis
Gastritis is an inflammation, irritation, or erosion of the lining of the stomach- This digestive disease can be both acute, starts unexpectedly and does not last
long, or chronic- There are many things that cause Gastritis such as excessive alcohol use, chronic vomiting, stress, and the use of some medications- As
well as this it can also be caused by a bacteria that resides in the mucous lining of the stomach called the Helicobacter pylori- Along side this bacteria,
infections and bile reflux can cause it- Some of the systems that result from Gastritis are nausea or an upset stomach, vomiting, abdominal pain and bloating,
and a burning feeling in the stomach- Gastritis can be treated with various treatments and it tends to improve quickly once the treatment for this has begun-
The treatment consists of taking antacids and other drugs that will reduce stomach acid and avoiding hot and spicy foods which may cause harm to your
digestive system- For Gastritis that is caused by the bacteria Helicobacter pylori, your doctor may give you many antibiotics and acid blocking drugs- Gastritis
may also be caused by pernicious anemia and ifthis is the case then B12 vitamin shots will be given to aid you- This digestive disease tends to be seen a lot
by people who drink a lot and older adults which tend to have an increased risk of gastritis because the stomach lining tends to thin with age- My father
suffers from Gastritis and he is on his way to recovering from this and it is getting much better with the treatments given to him

Irritable bowel system
For my discussion I choose to write about irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in children- IBS is a disorder that is a functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorder. This
means that IBS is a problem caused with changes in how the GI tract works- Children have frequent symptoms however IBS is not a disease it is a multitude of
symptoms that occur with each other. Most common symptoms are abdominal pain, cramping, diarrhea, constipation, or both- IBS had many named before
but was changed to irritable bowel syndrome so people could understand the IBS is a disorder that has a role in both physical and mental causes- Although
IBS is becoming more common very little is known about this disorder. However, some causes may include but are not limited too: Brain-gut signal problems,
GI motor problems, hypersensitivity, mental health problems, bacterial gastroenteritis, small intestine bacterial growth, and/or genetics- I choose to write about
IBS because when I was a young child I can remember having stomach problems all the way back to elementary school- I had always struggled with this
through middle school and high school- In my high school years is when it started to get worse- It seemed like every day I was having some sort of discomfort
in my stomach and it got to the point I couldn’t hold a job- That’s when I had enough and was diagnosed with IBS with diarrhea in my senior year of high
school- I wrote this because I feel that people should have a better understanding of this disorder so that if they have problems that they don’t wait 15 years
to figure out that they need to get an answer.
