The Co-operative Education Learning Plan is the foundation for your learning and development during your Co-operative Education Placement. It is designed to encourage you to think about what you need to accomplish during your Co-operative Education Placement and what actions you need to plan to help you achieve this.
You are required to:
Complete the Co-operative Education Learning Plan Template.
Your Co-operative Education Learning Plan must:
• be complete and address all issues
• provide specific examples of what you are planning
• provide a realistic and manageable plan for your Co-operative Education Placement
• identify relevant concepts, models, theories and/or technical competencies
• be professionally presented
• include a reference list in APA 6th Edition
SECTION: A – Your Co-operative Education Role
1. Provide a brief overview of:
• Your Co-operative Education Placement Organisation
• Your role
2. Briefly describe each of your key tasks/activities as outlined in your job description. For each task identify and briefly explain relevant theories, concepts, models, frameworks or technical competencies from your major. Discuss how these could apply in your role (reference sources)
• In your Portfolio’s you will explore in more depth how theories/concepts apply to your tasks/workplace in practice.
3. Discuss the value your role and your personal attributes may bring to the organisation
• Clearly describe the task you will be undertaking – be specific
• Identify AND reference specific theories/concepts/frameworks/technical competencies from your major that you think might guide your tasks, or might help explain how or why your tasks are done
