Paper instructions:
Question: What are the criteria by which ethnographies should be judged?
1. Think of writing a paper as a job to be planned out rather than as a poetry assignment that requires you to be inspired. Use the exact question, not an approximation.
2. Write a 100-200 word summary of your argument. This will be the first paragraph of the paper.
3. The paper should contain about 12-18 paragraphs. List paragraph headings.
4. Make sure that the “paragraph points” follow each other in logical sequence and cover all the points you want to make.
5. Reference all sources you use, APA format, and avoid long quotes. Include a works cited page.
6. Establish the meaning of each study.
7. Identify the three types of objects in each study. (Physical, social, and abstract.)
8. Explain accountability of social practice. (What has to happen so that other group members can recognize an incident as an example of a social practice.)
