Paper details:
Students will determine a topic of relevance and interest in their major field of study (i.e., something current
and controversial). but one that allows them to integrate at least one other subject area (Social Science.
Business, Science/Technology. and Humanities).Then, they will follow the procedures below to produce a final
essay of approximately 5 pages that demonstrates an understanding of the issues, follows an appropriate
organizational procedure (compare/contrast. problem/solution, cause/effect, e.g.). and uses the appropriate
conventions of form and style. It should be an argumentative/persuasive paper arguing a point of view or
position; it should NOT be a “how to” paper!
