Assignment 3 Individual Task
This is an individual assignment comprised of two sections and focuses on the differences between a product and service supply chain.
Part 1:Select aproduct and create a simple supply chain for your selection. The choice of the product is up to you.
Example: simple supply chain for a mobile phone:
Your submission should have between 3 and 7 steps. Do not use this example.
Part 2: On page 375 of the Slack et al textbook, in the introductory paragraph, the author states: “Just as liquids flow through a pipeline, so physical goods (and services, but the metaphor is more difficult to imagine) flow down a supply chain.”
For this part of the task, please create a simple supply chain for a service.Briefly describe how a service supply chain is different from a traditional, product-based supply chain. Discuss any challenges you might encounter.
Diagrams and charts are permitted for all parts of this task.
All work should be referenced using the Harvard Referencing System.
