Write a 2000-3000 word paper that traces a theme, movement, item, or development (cultural, social,
political, technological, etc.) in the humanties. Use MLA format and cite all research, including the textbook,
both parenthetically (in-text)
Paper details:
Students can choose or may be assigned a topic to trace (process analysis essay or cause and effect essay)
or to survey (explication essay) or some combination of the types. A list of suggested topics is in this folder,
or students may choose one of their own, with the restriction being that whatever topic they trace must have
started BCE (BD); the essay must end in the present day or even with a projection into the future.
Essay should be 2000-3000 words and must be in MLA format
