The skills paper is meant for you to describe and explain the skills you would use. if you were developing a
community worker plan strategy to provide change regarding a social issue. how you would use the tools to
mobilize a community when dealing with a social issue. For example, would you be a broker, advocate, social
change agent or leader when working with the community? Would you use the skills of telephone calling.
texting, letter writing, networking or canvasing when engaging the community members? Perhaps you would
conduct meetings and present a deputation at city hall?
The paper should include the following:
Introduction of community social issue & thesis statement
Brief plans and strategy to resolve the issue
Clear and concise examples of skills that you would use when working with the community (heart of the
