Instructions for the writing assignment:
The writing assignment must be typed, 5 pages long, approximately between 1250 to 1300 words, double-
spaced (before the reference cited page and cover page), Times New Roman size, 12 font with 1 inch margins.
This paper is expected to be written around a well-thought thesis, for an academic audience and requires
citations that will be in the format of American Sociological Association (ASA) style available online. Also, the
paper requires a reference cited page of at least three (3) sources. These sources must be academic in nature
and it can include our textbook, work by sociologists, and criticism within the field of sociology or other
academic field. This paper will allow you to integrate what you’ve learned in class with your own experience.
