Briefing analysis should be 2 pages and should include reliable sources of information. Based on your research and findings, propose policy enhancements or
modifications to Pillar 1 of the President’s National Security Strategy (NSS),
in light of what you find to be the gravest threats to safety and security in the US.
Research what the greatest threats to safety are for people living in the United States. Examples of research questions are:
1. What forms of violence take the most lives each year?
2. What promotes or fails to inhibit the violence?
3. What other policies have been effective?
Start with a statement that defines the issue. Next present your research and finding. Explain arguments from both sides of the issue, i.e. the NSS addresses the greatest threats and the NSS does not address
the greatest threats.
