post consists of three assignments
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:
Explain digital crime and digital terrorism activities.
Describe law enforcement roles and responses.
Describe the criminology of computer crime.
Analyze the types of digital criminals and hackers.
Explain the various digital laws and legislation in support of law enforcement.
Describe law enforcement roles and responses.
Explain the procedures in the investigation of computer-related crime.
Describe the technologies and processes involved in digital forensics.
Describe future trends in digital crime and terrorism.
Use technology and information resources to research issues in information technology in criminal justice.
Write clearly and concisely about information technology in criminal justice topics using proper writing mechanics and
technical style conventions.
Contractions are words such as don’t, can’t, haven’t, won’t, isn’t, it’s, and all those with an apostrophe that make one word
out of two. Avoid contractions; write them out (for example, do not, cannot).
– Avoid using first and second person singular number (I, me, you or your) in your writing. Use of we and our or ours are
most appropriate. It is best practice (prudent) in academia for students to include their audience (especially classmates).
– Please be cognizant of the points (250 points) allocated for these assignments. For high scores, conduct extensive research
and discuss each part of the topic/question in detail. You are encouraged to introduce supplemental research materials
from Internet and other external resources (with appropriate citations and references in APA style) to your work. References
(APA style) for external sources used in research must be included at the end of your paper. Acceptable external sources are
peer reviewed academic journals, periodicals, books from reputable publishers, etc. However, the majority (75%+) of your
response/analysis to the topic/question must be your own. You may not copy and paste directly from any external sources
including Internet to prepare your entire (or majority percentage) response (even with citations). For example, if your
response/analysis has total of 100 words, no more than 25 words may come from external sources as word-for-word
citation.
2:Operations Management
Supply Chain Management
Case
When MasterTag was founded in 1949, Ludwig Schmidt, set out to be a manufacturer of plastic fishing bobbers. Then, in
1950, Mr. Schmidt was approached by a local greenhouse owner and was asked to if he could produce a line of
horticultural labels for plants. At the time, these labels were made of wood. Mr. Schmidt adapted his machines to produce
these labels and has been manufacturing the plastic “tags” for plants ever since. Over the years, the labels have increased
in quality and now feature full-color pictures on the plans along with name and planting and care instructions.
Many of MasterTag’s largest customers are seed companies that sell the seeds to commercial growers. The large seed
companies typically place one or two large orders with MasterTag at the beginning of the growing season. The seed
companies then sell their seeds and the labels to their customers who grow the plants and sell them to the end consumer.
For various reasons, the seed companies do not like ordering tags, but do so because their customers demand labels with
their seeds.
However, there are several problems with this ordering process. The main issue stems from the fact that the exact
quantities of tags that will be needed is difficult to predict due to possible crop failures and the introduction of new items.
To avoid a shortage of tags, seed companies order and ship a large quantity of tags to their customers. Tags are ordered
early to allow for the time needed to incorporate the tags with the seeds. Seed companies usually end up each year with
huge number of leftover tags. In fact, MasterTags’s largest customers often end up with millions of leftover tags.
When MasterTags’s management became aware of all the unused labels and unhappy customer, they decided they must
come up with a better solution for achieving a match between supply and demand of the tags. One possible solution would
be to make an initial, fairly large batch, which would be produce and shipped directly to the growers instead of the seed
companies, as is now being done. Later, when the grower results became available, a second batch would be produce using
information from growers on how many additional tags are needed. The second batch would then be made and shipped to
the growers. (See figure for Before and After.)
Questions
1. Explain the key benefit of the revised approach, and the reason for the benefit.
2. MsterTag has not yet decided to implement this plan. List the pros and cons you think should be considered.
3:Realistic Fiction Genre Study
Genre Study: Choose one of the genres* we will be studying in the course (e.g., traditional literature, biography, poetry,
informational texts, realistic fiction, historical fiction, fantasy and science fiction). Read widely in that genre. Next, choose
5 picturebooks or 5 novels to analyze. Then, provide an introduction to the genre and a 1-2 page genre analysis for each
book in which you evaluate the books in terms of the criteria of the genre. The chapters on your chosen genre in Literature
and the Child (Cullinan, Galda, and Sipe, 2009) will help you with your analyses, as well as course lectures and other
readings. Please provide a complete bibliographic citation for each book (including the guided reading level) you discuss
as well as additional sources. Remember, the purpose is not to summarize the books, but to analyze them using evaluation
criteria.
How to choose your books:
Consult recommendations from the Cullinan, Galda, and Sipe textbook, Common Core State Standards, and other sources
(e.g., the American Library Association, lists of award-winning books, etc.).
Choose books written for readers within the B-6 range. • At least four of your books must be published within the last 10
years. • (2002 and above)
At least one book must also be on the Common Core State Standards list of Text Exemplars
Please do not read more than two books by the same author. • Please choose books that you have not already read as part
of class readings or assignments.
*Picturebooks are a format, not a genre. If you are interested in analyzing picturebooks for this assignment, first choose a
genre (e.g., historical fiction) and then corresponding picturebooks. Your paper will include analysis of both the
picturebook elements (artistic medium, endpages, doublepage spreads, narrative quality, etc) as well as the evaluation
criteria for your chosen genre. For historical fiction picturebooks, for example, you would apply the evaluation criteria
found in the Cullinan, Galda, and Sipe textbook for both historical fiction and for picturebooks. (20 points)
