Controversy Study Outline
For this assignment, you will give a brief synopsis of your Controversy Study and a bibliography in at least two pages. Complete the following steps:
- Description of Controversy: Briefly describe the nature of the scientific, medical, or technological controversy, including a summary of the two opposing beliefs, the main points of each, your initial opinion, and ethical considerations.
- Goal(s)/Hypothesis of the Controversy Study: Create a goal(s)/hypothesis for the Controversy Study. Consider the following questions:
- What is your goal for this case study?
- What do you want to learn or what do you hope to theorize?
- Will your own personal beliefs limit your ability to objectively analyze this controversy?
- References: On the last page create a bibliography. List five sources you will use in your controversy study, three of which must be scholarly articles from the Ashford University Library and two can be popular sources, such as newspapers, videos, and magazine articles.
2. Corruption laws in both UAE and Dubai
Q. Identify the Anti-Bribery and/or Corruption laws in both UAE and Dubai and the utility of such laws. Also, you are required to critically analyse the functioning of
such laws. From this research, you are required to evaluate aspects of such laws which call for further improvement, if any.
Instructions:
1. Your submission must be thorough; meaning, the submission reflects your understanding of the concepts of Bribery and Corruption, the relevant laws in the UAE – they
must be critically analyzed.
2. Word limit is up to a maximum of 5000. However, stick to this limit! The word limit is excluding the references, bibliography and title/cover pages.
3. Use the research, referencing and writing conventions taught in your course on research methodology (OSCOLA).
4. The submission should have an introduction, main body and conclusion. Have a suitable title and sub-titles (if you feel necessary). All the aspects posed must be
addressed in the essay, not as separate answers, but as a comprehensive whole.
5. Include a cover-sheet while submitting the assignment.
6. Also take note/familiarize yourself with the assessment/marking criteria which is posted on the Moodle page for this course.
