Background: The Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS)
also directly oversees the Kentucky Intelligence Fusion Center (KIFC). The Executive Director
is concerned about the trend at the federal-level where senior policy-makers disregard or even
disparage intelligence community reports. Although not as pervasive at the state-level in
Kentucky, the Executive Director is concerned this federal trend of disregarding intelligence
reports may eventually work its way down to the state.
