Many changes in consumer electronics in the past decade have been challenges for intelligence agencies. Specifically, cell phone, digital encryption and Internet communications have increased not only in volume but with difficulty to “listen-in.” Please answer: Should US intelligence agencies be able to listen to US citizen’s communications? Should they be able to listen to foreign communications? Should the US government be able to “pressure” manufacturers to have “the ability” to penetrate new forms of communications? Please answer all these questions.
