HSH 769: Comparative Health Systems Assessment Task 3: Individual Written Report Brief description of task and student output: This is an individual task consisting of a written report (2,500 words). Due date: Friday 6th October 2017 at 5pm Weighting: 50% of the total mark for the unit Form of submission: Your report must be submitted via the assignment drop box on the unit site for HSH769 in DeakinSync TASK DETAIL Using the World Health Organisation (WHO) health systems framework, describe the health system of your allocated country (from Assessment Task 1) and evaluate the performance of the country’s health system over the last 25 years, including recent policies and/or attempts at health system reform. Discuss the future challenges and emerging issues that are likely to impact on the health system of your chosen country. Lessons learned from other health systems, including within the region (from Assessment Task 2), can be included in your analysis. Content analysis for country case studies should include the following: 1. Story line: history of your chosen country’s health care system (from Assessment Task 1); 2. Role of government in health system delivery, organisation and efficiency; 3. Role of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in health system delivery, organisation and efficiency (if appropriate) 4. An evaluation of the performance of your chosen country’s health system; 5. An analysis and critique of health system policy and initiatives focusing on key institutional, social, cultural, economic and political influencing factors; and 6. An analysis of past and future health system reforms; including in response to emerging issues identified within the region (from Assessment Task 2).
