In a 1000+ word MLA-formatted paper that includes in-text documentation and a works cited page, analyze the tone in the poem “Goblin Market” by Christina Rossetti.
Order Description
(Use only literary works, not supplementary or background notes.) Write your paper from the perspective of looking deeply into the work(s). Do not attempt to apply the works today’s world or life in general. The paper is more like a microscope looking more deeply into the literary texts, not a lens looking out at the world.)
Write the paper in third person. Do not use “I” or “you” (except as part of a direct quotation). This paper, although similar in some ways to the discussion board posts, is more formal, so “I” and “you” are not appropriate.
Most of the paper must be your own analysis and support for it. Use summary sparingly.
Do not use any sources other than the literary works you’re writing about–no outside sources of analysis, commentary, criticism, context, or research.
Ensure that your paper’s thesis is an arguable (debatable) thesis. (The resources posted in this course for writing a literary analysis explain this and provide examples.)
Ensure that your thesis statement is in the introduction. Place it at the end of the introductory paragraph
Do not start paragraphs with quotations. Start paragraphs with topic sentences, then support those with your arguments and evidence (quoted or paraphrased–and cited) within the paragraph.
Use signal phrases or punctuation to integrate all quotations.
Include a works cited page that cites each literary work you used in the paper.
Use MLA document format for the paper and MLA style for the citations and works cited page.
Edit and proofread: In addition to content, clarity, organization, grammar and spelling do count.
