Research a company where you can see evidence of either good or bad people management practices and write a
report (approx. 500-600 words) of your findings.
Please make sure your research covers the following:
1) The company and location and area ofthe business – be specific, is it the whole company or just operations and where
World-wide or one region ? For example McDonalds has been voted a great place to work but this might be more relevant if
youre a management trainee than a burger flipper.
2) Examples ofthe HR and people management practices which are bad or good – look at the diagram below to be specific
recruitment, training and development, motivation etc.
3) Quantify the impact this has – remember often HR gets a bad press for being fluffy people stuffso see ifyou can provide
evidence to demonstrate the cost the practices have on the business – productivity, turnover.
