Week One Learning Outcomes
This week students will:
1. Construct frequency distributions, histograms, stem and leaf charts, pie charts and Pareto charts.
2. Calculate measures of central tendencies and variations, including the quartiles and percentiles.
3. Research and report on misleading graphs.
Week Two Learning Outcomes
This week students will:
1. Compute the correlation coefficient r and linear regression line.
2. Predict one variable from another.
3. Graph scatter plot and linear regression lines.
Week Three Learning Outcomes
This week students will:
1. Find the probability of an event.
2. Compute probabilities that involve unions and intersections.
3. Calculate conditional probabilities.
4. Competently apply Bayes’ Theorem.
5. Explain when, how, and why to use the binomial distribution.

1. Utilize the normal distribution.
2. Explain when and how to use the sampling distribution of a statistic.
