The final module for this course focuses on Chapter 1 of the book by James H. Stronge, Holly B. Richard and Nancy Catano, Qualities of Effective Principals. For this module, you need to complete the following:
Read Chapter 1, Instructional Leadership: Supporting Best Practice, from the Qualities of Effective Principals.
Use the chart on pages 2 & 3 to identify one column you are interested in OR need to learn more about.

(2) Sharing Leadership;
(3) Leading a Learning Community;
(4) Gathering Data;
(5) Monitoring Curriculum and Instruction
Select 3 authors from the column, research their publications, and read an article or book chapter related to that topic.
Write a comparative essay where you identify similarities and differences between the various authors thoughts and the information presented in Qualities of an Effective Principal. (5-6 pages; Due November 15)
In the introduction, include a rationale for why you selected this topic.
