Directions: Select prompt that corresponds with selected novel. In unit 8 you will be writing a five (5) paragraph essay on the prompt that corresponds with your novel. The essay must include a minimum of three (3) quotes from the novel, and include any outside sources to support your thesis. The essay must be typed utilizing MLA format. Use this external tool: ” How to Turn a Prompt Into a Thesis Statement,” to shape your writing project.You must be sure to fully answer the prompt within your essay and the best way to do this may be to use the prompt itself to create your thesis statement.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
The pride and the prejudice referred to in the title of this Jane Austen novel prepare the reader for the character flaws of the main characters, Elizabeth and Darcy. Elizabeth’s pride and Darcy’s prejudice prevent the two from recognizing and admitting their love for one another.
