The three types of qualitative research are phenomenological, grounded theory, and ethnographic research. What are the differences and similarities between two of the three types of studies?

 

 

2.  ETHICAL DILEMMAS AND DECISIONS IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Pick an ethical system from the course readings that matches your personal ethical values and norms. PICK ONE (ethics of virtue, natural law, ethical formalism, Utilitarianism, ethics of care, teleological and egoism)

 

1. Explain why this system of your choosing matches your personal values and norms.

 

2. Now explain the core criteria of your ethical system along with its strengths and weaknesses (according to the academic literature).

 

3. Finally apply your ethical system to a situation in criminal justice. Demonstrate how and why your ethical system applies to that situation.

 

Write a paper that answers all the questions above. What is more important is your ability to answer the questions above and support your argument with evidence from the readings (and or academic/scholarly literature outside of the readings).

• Use APA format
• Use at least three references/sources such as following

  • Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA)
  • The Lancet
  • American Journal of Public Health
• If the above references/sources are not used, please submit the list of proposed references/sources with your outline for approval prior to using them as reference/source

Please use three of the references for the research paper that is highlighted in yellow to avoid getting approval of other references.

Criteria

Communication	Demonstrated excellent communication skills, included comparisons to other disease state or chronic conditions, and used appropriate analogies/metaphors to convey ideas.
Application	Demonstrates excellent application skills by including recommendations on how study results can be leveraged to generate societal changes (e.g., healthcare education or healthcare policy reform).
