Define the Problem
-Choose a question/problematic as the focus for this project.
-Choose something with political content that provokes responses, curiosity, inquiry, analysis, etc.
Exploratory Research: Secondary , Textual
-Find at least 5 secondary sources (scholarly-2 minimum-and non-scholarly) related to your
question/problem.
-Document these sources and compile your research bibliography.
Qualitative Research: Primary, Interview or Survey
-Investigate the problem/question through interview (following directions for interviewing as explained in
class).
-Develop a set of interview questions that will help you learn more about your problem/question.
-Choose an interviewee (person) for a face-to-face or remote interview: this should be someone you think
could help you answer your question effectively.
-Conduct interview with interviewee permission and follow directions (provided separately) for
collecting/reporting interview data for research purposes.
