1. Attend one of the PSU or RPTM Department Seminars announced on Canvas and/orin class. 2. Write a 2-page paper discussing the following:
a. A paragraph or so about the speaker. (Was the speaker another Penn State professor or graduate student? Where do they work? What do they do? Consider Googling his/her name in addition to reporting on what is presented in the seminar.) b. A summary of the seminar content itself. (What did the speaker present? What were the main research questions or objectives? What conclusions/findings did the speaker present? What implications or interpretation of those conclusions/findings did the speaker discuss? And any other important points you notice in the seminar!) i. Be sure to relate these concepts to something we have learned in class. Refer to key class concepts in your summary. c. A discussion of what you thought about the seminar. (What questions did you have before you went to the seminar? Were they answered? What questions did you have after attending the seminar? What did you learn?)
