We live in a time of unprecedented access and exposure to information. We have the technology – the devices, portals, and platforms – to rapidly interact with vast quantities and varieties of data. This can be an extremely powerful capability while it can also carry with it unforeseen consequences as our society, and even our minds, change to adapt to this “Information Age.” Whatever the case, it is important to look at the causes and effects of information overload, technology fatigue, or social media exposure, and to discuss the factors involved, as we are all affected by it.
