The workplace problem is complexity of teams the complexity can undermine communications, leadership, motivations, organizational behavior and performance more so if the managers fail to institutionalize the concept of system thinking among the members (Stacey, 3011, p. 28).
Refer to the workplace-based problem you identified in Week 1’s Learning Set, or consider (and briefly present) a new problem.
Do you believe that your organisation effectively ‘learns’? What do you see as the reasons for this? Is there a practical example of how tacit knowledge—undocumented skills and talents—have been transferred to organisational knowledge explicitly?
What would be required to extend knowledge in order to solve your workplace-based problem? Or, what currently-deficient knowledge resources are required for a contribution to a solution to your workplace problem?
