choose a philosophical debate and select and defend a particular position in the debate. Each student must write a five-page paper presenting an argument defending your position, raising an objection to your position, and then responding to the objection. You should demonstrate that you understand the debate and the different positions and you should be able to provide strong arguments or reasons in support of your selected position.
