Take the VALS survey. After answering the questions, you will be classified into
two types: a primary type designed to represent your dominant approach to life
and a secondary type, representing a particular emphasis.
Share your results while explaining whether or not you agree with your VALS
classification. Be sure to provide details and an explanation rather than just
answering yes or no for full credit.
Next, think of at least three brands, currently in the market, that you feel targets
your VALS classifications. List these brands and then describe for each why you
feel the company (or agency) has chosen this particular segment(s). Do these
brands primarily use one vehicle (radio, television, newspapers, magazine,
internet, non-traditional, etc.) or do they rely on an advertising mix? Explain.
Please avoid using the Apple brand as part of your journal.
I recommend utilizing the text editor to break up paragraphs, use headings, etc.
so that the information is visually pleasing to read. Be sure to embed any links
(so that they are clickable). You can preview your post prior to publishing, and
can also edit to fix formatting, too. Please do NOT attach a file. Rather, copy your
submission directly into the text editor window.
Your creative journal entry should be between 300 and 500 words.
